   Summary: macbook regular
These are great computers for collage students and i have used them my self personally. As i have set several up for students going off to collage. They are increadibly fast for budget pcs and have a lot of options unlike the ibooks. The screen is also great for its size obviously bigger is better but its great fora budget one. The only problem i saw so far is my cousins one had a funny power button when you would close the lid it would immidiatley turn it self back on after a full shut down did anyone else have this problem? But other than that i have not seen any problems with these at all. I have 17 inch mackbook pro and thats great no problems at all with that one so i say yes to both depending on your budget.

   Summary: Another Windows Convert
After twenty years of microsoft operating systems, VISTA finally drove me over the edge. This Apple machine is such a delight. While it may not offer all the bells and whistles of a similarly priced Windows machine, what it does have works as its supposed to. Computing on a Mac is everything you'd want from a computer. Ease and reliability without the headaches of that other brand x. I only wish I had converted years ago.

   Summary: Tremendous package of features!!
This computer is a little dynamo. Has all the power and capacity that I need but also has a great built-in ISight camera for IChat. The magnetic power cord is a feature that is long overdue. A great computer with a great feel!

Summary: Macs are nothing short of perfection
I got my first Blackbook in 2006. I used it for a little under a year and then I spilled a full glass of apple juice into it. I thought it was toast. It still worked perfectly!!

About a year later, I bought a Macbook Pro because I got a scholarship and thought I would enjoy the larger screen. The MBP worked like a jewel; absolutely perfect.

When I started my sophomore year in college, I realized I missed the portability and cute aesthetic of my black Macbook, so I sold the MBP and purchased a new blackbook. I'm still using it now after two years and ANOTHER liquid spill! (I know, I know) This time my Macbook suffered 6oz. of chocolate milk. IT STILL WORKS. Apple products are miraculous. They WILL NOT DIE! In my 4 years of being a Mac user, I have NEVER had a single freeze.

I literally cannot think of a SINGLE complaint.

Pros:
Everything.
***The keyboard (love the chiclet style keys--so discreet and comfy!)
***The trackpad (why waste the time on two fingers when one works just fine?)
***The battery (I get 3 hours at max brightness and wifi/application usage while my friends stare at a dim screen on their pcs that die after an hour and a half.)
***The look (come on, its gorgeous!)
***The speed (I never have to wait for anything! That was one of the first things that amazed me about Macs--you click it and BAM! There it is!)
***The portability (a modest 5 pounds and the screen is plenty large)
***Beautiful screen
***FAST startup time

And all of the little ergonomic and logistic details that you might never have thought of when you were using a PC, but now I get on my Macbook after my boyfriend's giant HP and say, "Ahhh." :)

I'd also like to address the so-called "compatibility issues" that Macs have. In 4 years, I have only stumbled upon ONE application I wanted to use that wasn't Mac-friendly: Second Life, which is def. not essential. Every important program is either Mac-compatible or has a Mac version. Sure, for some things the Mac version might be an extra $10, but HELLO. You get what you pay for, and with a Mac, you're paying for quality. Mac even runs Windows better than PCs with Parallels or Bootcamp. Seriously, come on, PC. You're letting Mac beat you at your own game?

And one last thing. People like to cite Mac's downfall as their prices. My friend has the $999 version ($949 for students and teachers) and I borrowed it for the weekend. I used (simultaneously!!) Photoshop CS3, MS word, DVD player and Camino (awesome Mac version of Firefox) with her 2ghz processor and 1GB ram, and it was FLAWLESS. Mine has 2.4/4GB, but I realize now that even with the lowest-end Mac, you're getting a machine that runs faster and better than a $1000+ PC with "better" specs. Find me a $949 PC that can go months without a restart and never EVER freezes, and you'll win the price argument. Until then...GO MAC!

   Summary: Save 58 cents!!!!!oneone111!!!
I followed a google ad link promising a "blow out sale" on the day that the new Mac Books were unveiled (as well as the new $999 price for the low end model). I am truly amazed that I can save a whole 58 cents! I'm practically creaming my jeans! Sadly, the exact same model is now available for nearly $100 less from Apple. Wake up, Amazon! If you've got inventory you want to move, keep up with the latest news and adjust your prices accordingly!
