Professional Review:
Evil pixie, Opal Koboi is back and she's more dangerous than ever. This time she doesn't just want power over the fairy People, this time she wants the lot. Everyone is under threat - humans and fairies alike. Captain Holly Short is the only fairy with a hope of stopping her, but as Holly knows, it takes one genius criminal mastermind to fight another. And the 14-year-old genius Holly is thinking of can't even remember that fairies exist. How is she going to convince Artemis Fowl to help her? Gold usually does the trick with that young man and this time is no different. Together Artemis, Holly, Mulch and Butler foil Opal Koboi's plans for world domination.

   Summary: A shocker!
Just when I was worried the Artemis Fowl books would fall into a rut, here comes the Opal Deception! From a shocking death early in the book to the continued original ideas that Artemis, Holly, and Mulch come up with, this book shows that Eoin Colfer is not content to just sit back and ride the gravy train that he has created without making the readers continue to care about his characters. Artemis has changed as much in these four books as Harry Potter did in his books, and I can't wait to see what comes next!

   Summary: Amazon Undependable
Amazon is undependable. They indicate it's been shipped and it never was. When I called them they appoligized and said would resend 2 day no charge. Again they lied, it never came and they didn't notify me. They said backordered for another month. You can't count on them at all.

   Summary: Opal stirs up trouble
The devious Opal Kobi is back and serving up a whole lot of destruction towards the underground eautopia. She especially wants to kill Captian Holly Short and her gang of freinds, who foiled her plan to take over Haven City in the second book of the Series. The best scene in the book was when Holly and Artemis had to escape from the trolls at Artemis' tower. It was the most action pact part of the story and showed so much detail that you felt like you were there. Like when Artimis cuts his leg, you can almost feel his pain. The poor performance in the story was the concept of Opal Kobi coming back out of a coma and no one noticing it even with the LEP advance technology. In my opinion, instead of Opal, there should have been a new character to play the evil villian. There is a lot of hardship and drama but Eoin keeps the same comical action in a book that twists and turns as you read. The expolosive details in his writing keep you from putting the book down. Just like the other books, the comedy between Artimis and Holly is fun to read. I have to admit it wasn't the best book out of the series but if you are interested in the 5th book then you have to read this one.

   Summary: great service
Amazon made me aware that this book was now being released in hardback (my preferred format) after I had attempted to find it without success in the past. I was delighted! Good service, good looking out for me, the customer. I am very pleased! Keep up the good work, Amazon!
