Professional Review:
In A Child Called It, Dave Pelzer shocked the world with the horrifying tale of the abuse and neglect he suffered at the hands of his mother and his brother, Richard. Fortunately for Dave, he was removed from the household at 12. Richard was not so lucky. Needing a new scapegoat for her alcoholic rages, Richard became Mrs. Pelzers new It. He began receiving nocturnal beatings and the denial of clothing and food. He had Tabasco sauce poured down his throat, and was kicked, slapped, and punched to the point of hospitalization. By now shed learned how to hit so his wounds didnt showshe wasnt about to let Richard leave, too. This is the story of how one little boy found the courage to survive years of physical abuseand how the human spirit can triumph over even the most severe circumstances.

   Summary: A brothers Journey
I loves Dave Pelzer story from his childhood i enjoyed both " A child called It" and " The lost boy". But when i found out that his brother richard was abused also i found the book and had to read it. It is a great book. If you like Davids books you will surely love his brother. Its definitly sad but its reality.

   Summary: Sad
It's very sad that CPS didn't take ALL of the kids away from such a horrible home. They were all abused either mentally or physically. I just hope that now, as adults they have all found their way to having some peace in their lives and to finally become close as Brothers.

Summary: Different perspective than his brother David's
I have read all of David Peltzer's books. This was different even though it talks a lot about the abuse the brother suffered after David was removed. It also talks about his understanding of his brothers abuse and his roll he played in it. Just a personal note; as a foster parent myself I don't understand why all the children were not removed from this women.

   Summary: Dave Pelzer Books
The books I ordered arrived in a timely manor and I was pleased with the books I chose. Basically, for used books, they were in good condition.
