 Written on September 21, 2004 Summary: Undoubtedly one of the greatest games of all time. When this came out (all those years) little did I think I'd still be playing (quite regularly) come September 2004. Forget the single player game - it's good, but should merely serve as an introduction to the units, controls etc. before you take your skills online. Multiplayer is where this game comes into it's own. Admittedly it can be a bit intimidating for newbies, and you WILL be beaten to a pulp initially by the more experienced players, but the nature of the game will keep you coming back. "What did I do wrong?", "Maybe I should rush his base, or send a few engineers across before he builds a flak cannon." etc. - the depth and strategy are practically limitless. On the downside I'd say there are a lot of idiots on the servers, but just like the real-world there are a lot of friendly folks on there too. Also there are some cheap tricks (cheats) some people use to rack-up tournament points, but you can generally spot the idiots pretty quickly and ignore them in the future. To summarise I'd say RA2 is like chess on steroids and everyone should try the multiplayer game at least once.  Written on January 15, 2004 Summary: Great real time strategy game, but... Red Alert 2 is a great real time strategy game. There are two different people to play as, the US and Russia. The game is set slightly in the future, with realistic technology. Some of the missions take a long time to do, since Westwood didn't add a cheat engine to the game. However, the greatest downfall of this game is that it has no map editor. The possibilities of this game are not as great as other real time strategy games, especially those made by Blizzard. This game is one of my favorites, but after comparing to other games, it gets points taken off. Written on January 11, 2004 Summary: Red Alert 2s the best!!! This game is soooo fun its just like age of the empires but even betr. U get to create yor own army and yor own base! And then defeat the enemys. Written on August 16, 2003 Summary: Excellent skirmishes! Cool game. This game is extremely exciting and fun, especially the incredible little skirmish battles. It features:Many maps to choose from, both Soviet and Allied sides, and just plain fun. Sometimes I battle Allied against Allied, and Soviet against Soviet. Some of te best fun you'll ever have on the computor!  Written on June 9, 2003 Summary: HAHAHAHAHAHA Don't buy this game it is a waste of your time and money. That is all. :-) |
