Written on April 7, 2008 Summary: The best bowls ever all pros no cons! Absolutely perfect for what I needed. The 4 bowls were just the right size. I am always needing a larger size bowl than the ones that come in the sets and these are awesome. The large bowl that comes with this set is the perfect size for a bowl of microwave popcorn, which is another hard to find size. They are microwaveable, dishwasher safe, lightweight, thin, and almost unbreakable. Lightweight is a good thing especially when you do dishes by hand. Thinness is great for saving cabinet space plus they stack perfectly. I cannot tell you how many times I have dropped my Corelle dishes and they did not break. Only one small plate has ever broke on me and that was a clean break without any shattering. It actually broke in half. I received exactly what I ordered (4 28 oz. bowls and 1 large serving bowl). The style of these bowls is simple, clean, and basic (just like my other Corelle dishes). I got this set because of the reviews about the small, deep bowls & I agree with all they said. It is great for kids to carry soup from microwave to table without sloshing on the floor. Written on February 8, 2008 Summary: Snack set has all kinds of uses The snack set is really misnamed. We use it all the time for meals, not just snacks. The bowls are just the right size for ramen and udon, even if we have added lots of extras. We are a soup and salad family. The large bowl is just right for the salad. Last night we used the whole set-a homemade soup in the bowls, and a broccoli salad in the big bowl. We have young men with big appetites here-so the snack bowls get used for cereal, mac an cheese, just about everything that you can put in a bowl. We rarely use them for snacks! This was one of the best buys ever. I highly recommend these. |
