Written on December 13, 1998 Summary: pleasant reading with deep meaning and signifcance I found the book very interesting. I was looking for a story that I could share with children. While this book has a great story, (the greatest story) I found that the depth of meaning was possibly too much for a child under 8 years of age. Children would gain from the story, but many things would have to be explained. This would be a good story for a multiple night reading where opportunities to explain the mysteries of God may unfold. I do recommend it's reading and could even see where it could be used for teaching. It very capably weaves the truths of God's word with a perspective of Christmas I have never considered. Written on September 23, 1998 Summary: Satan does not want this book read! A real thought-provoking story; which can give insight into a realm so many are searching for today. There is so much emphasis on "spirituality" but it comes right down to Good versus Evil. It's author is so gifted with word-pictures, wisdom and knowledge you cannot put it down once you embark on the journey. Written on April 4, 1998 Summary: A gripping insight,to the spiritual side of Christmas It was like experiencing the Christmas story for the first time.The setting made me want to protect the vial. Written on January 29, 1998 Summary: Awe-inspiring perspective on the birth of Jesus This was one of the best books i have read. Purchased as a gift, i decided to read it before wrapping it up. It was a very easy, one nightread. This book really gave me a different perspective on the birth of Jesus. Max Lucado'sideas and writings on the angel Gabriel's participation was wonderful. I reccommend this book HIGHLY Written on December 3, 1997 Summary: Christmas in Heaven Max Lucado's description of the heavenly wars surrounding Christ's birth provide a picture of God's love for us. His addition of grace that God may have extended to Lucifer broadened the understanding of His unending mercy. Lucifer's deceptive nature is always present, which we should be aware of always. Although some of this novel is fiction, Lucado supports his inspired ideas with scripture. We loved it! |
