| The latest Jerry Bruckheimer production focuses on five twenty-something women working their way through life at a fashionable bar in New York City. Four new LeAnn Rimes tracks highlight this collection. Though all from the pen of veteran songwriter Diane Warren, the tracks vary in style from diva pop ("Fight the Moonlight") to sentimental musings ("Please Remember"). It's only a matter of time before Rimes leaves country music completely behind for the sleek modern world of mainstream pop. The remaining songs are a hodgepodge of different eras. EMF's "Unbelievable" and Snap's "The Power" hark back to the early 1990s, while Don Henley and INXS deliver the dancebeat kick of the '80s. The firing fiddle of the Charlie Daniels Band's 1979 hit "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" seems out of context here. But then, this bar must have one odd jukebox to begin with. --Rob O'Connor |

 Written on June 21, 2002 Summary: I agree I agree with you Ninjagirl, I really wish that Violet SANFORD IN THE MOVIE SANG THESE I JUST HAVE A HARD TIME IMAGINING LEANN RIMES SINGING THIS BUT IOTHER THATN THAT I LOVE THIS CD I LOVE THE MOVIE ALSO 5 STARS Written on June 20, 2002 Summary: Who's the Chick in the Upper Right? She is definitely not Coyote Ugly!!! Dunno much about the music, but if it's half as hot as that baked potato it is a real doozy. Written on May 6, 2002 Summary: a change Although I've never been a LeAnn Rimes fan, she does an excellent randition of the movies songs.  Written on April 20, 2002 Summary: Why only 3 stars? Let me tell you that I love this CD. I am not a hugh fan of Leanne Rimes but these song are really good. The thing that really bugs me is that when you view the credits on the movie you see a ton of songs listed then you by the CD and most of the good ones aren't on it. So many people have listed them so I won't but the least the producers of the soundtrack could have done is put out a Coyote Ugly Soundtrack 2.... we need those song! I mean really why have them in the movie if you are not planning on putting them in the ST. Written on March 31, 2002 Summary: This is an awesome cd!!!!!! This is excellant !I do wish they had put more songs on from the movie though!!! It is still an excellant cd though, truly as great as the movie!!!! |
