   Summary: Excelent Game
You've seen all of those other combat flight sim games, and you've always wondered which to buy. Constantly searching the internet for a cool game. But now you can stop searching.

You might've read the descriptions above, but don't worry, they are minor problems and will not affect the fun factor of the game.

Just imagine yourself soaring in the rich, blue sky in the 1930's. Beautiful scenery, beautiful women, and awesome planes fill the sky. You can explore, fight, or just steal treasure with the awesome missions. The planes are gorgeous, so easy to fly and to hae fun with. When you first play this game you'll love it. The controls and visuals are crisp and clear, so is the sound. Rockets explode and shatter in the sky, sending shrapnel flying all over the place. The chatter of your walkie-talkie tickles your ears, and fun missions are just so much fun to play.

Multiplayer is so much fun, you'll maybe play it (let me guess, you definately will) more than the single player. There are so many friendly people out there who tell you how to skillfully customize your plane into a bullet, a flying fortress, or a stunt machine. Online battles never suffer from slowdown, and it is always fun to have stupid, careless fun in some dogfights.

When I first bought this game I never stopped playing. I just practiced and practiced, and now I'm a ace of a pilot. That just tells you that this game is easy to learn, but hard to master.

Believe me, you're on the right track with Crimson Skies if you want hours of fun, online or off, crisp visuals, excellent sound and easy controls. It is also a mess of fun to just customize your plane infinitely. But I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for a serious, physics heavy flight sim.

Crimson Skies might just be a flight sim classic.

   Summary: Fun game, poorly made
This is a very fun game, just with some minor system problems (it crashes). First it messed up my sound card, then my video settings. It took about 60 e-mails with a Microsoft support guy who didn't know english very well (when I told him that it messes up my sound card, he thought I was complementing the sound quality) to get the problem fixed.

   Summary: An Imaginative Flight Sim
There's Microsoft CFS, Janes WWII Fighters and various other flight sims. There is one similarity. They all are based off of real planes and happenings. But, this game, Crimsin skies, is totally different. This game is set in an alternate 1930's with different planes that are just mindboggling. Each one of the planes is unique, with it's own payload capacity, gun armament, agility and body. Plus, flying as the daring and handsome ladies man pirate Nathan Zachary, the dialogue between your allies and enemies is exquisite. It was like nothing I had heard when I first climbed into the cockpit. It is quite easy to start and all the better with a joystick. Be careful what you do, as your choices alter your campaign's progress.

Another thing that amazed me is the in-game cutscenes, from hijacking a British Bomber to picking up a dazzling scientist from her stolen train. You also add people to your crew, "The Fortune Hunters." The cutscenes are always different and make you want to continue. As you progress, you add planes to your hangar and can buy planes with your money. Again, the controls are easy and unforgettable. It is such an amazing game you can replay it and not get bored.

Graphics, they are stunning. They take a little to load but it is worth it, because the game does run smoothly. Anything from fire on your wing to explosions on a plane are dazzling and look realistic.

Summing it up, this game is so good, you will not regret buying it. Happy flying!!

   Summary: Crimson Skies Is Great
I'm running this on a Dell with P3 600mHz, 256 mb RAM, a 32mb Nvidia G-force video card, and Soundblaster Live soundcard.
The game workd superbly. I have all the game settings maxed out and the game runs great: No lock-ups; detailed, smooth video; fast action; great sound.
The graphics and detail is awesome. Takes some liberty with flight dynamics, but this is not a flight sim per se.
An excellent game for those who enjoy arcade-style flight sim shoot-em-ups.
