 Written on December 25, 2007 Summary: It's good It delivered what it promised, and it's good to be able to watch DBZ in Japanese without having to deal with fansubs, to actuallly have a fairly accurate translation for the first time. Non-flaming Frieza is pretty great. I'm not sure I buy the whole taken from the original Japanese prints thing, but the quality is a lot better than the version shown on the television anyway, on all fronts. I suppose what it comes down to is that I'm REALLY glad I bought it, and I would reccomend this product. FUNimation actually didn't fubar this time. Miracle!  Written on December 22, 2007 Summary: No spanish audio track means no spanish market I can't believe they would not add the spanish (Intertrack Mexico) audio track. The ultimate uncut series did have it, why would they leave it out this time. In you tube comparisons, it has been voted the best after the original. I will not buy any of this series unless they re-release them with the proper languages. Written on December 21, 2007 Summary: DBZ Season 3 As a big follower of DBZ it is finally good to see the episodes come out in DVD sets such as this, I just wish they would come out faster...Can't wait for the Android Saga. My only gripe is a lack of real bonus features and the opening music isn't what I'm used to. I would like to see the inclusion of the American opening for the future but doubt that I will see it.. Written on December 18, 2007 Summary: This is where it get's Interesting!! I don't know about anyone else, but Frieza is one of the most unforgettable villains in DBZ. The thing that places DBZ among the greatest animated shows is one word..."Sagas." Yes, it's the sagas that make this show great. Saga's cause great character development and draws you in to see what will happen next. The Frieza saga, is one of the best. Not only is it the introduction to the Super Saiyan generation, but is also a really long, intense, and captivating battle. The third season is the first one I bought, because it's where DBZ goes to a whole new level. Hardcore fans may say differently but if you want to know where the serious action begins, it's in the Frieza saga. I was skeptical at first but after plopping in the first disk, I was hooked. One of my favorite episodes is when Frieza beats Vegeta to death. I was hooked. Trust me you wont' be dissapointed. There are some minor downpoints of this DVD Collection: a) Many are crying over the Widescreen, but trust me, it's not THAT BAD at all. There are a few times where you wish you could see the full frame but come on. The visuals are much more crisp and clear and you can't beat the 5.1 surround sound Japanese music. b) The dialogue can be downright cheesy to the point of shaking your head. For instance, while in a heated galactical PUNCH-FEST, Frieza (the diabolical, cold-hearted killer) says to Goku "You Dirty Dog!" to which Goku replies "It takes one to know one!" What is this 3rd Grade? But these minor irritations are hardly enough to stop one from purchasing this bundle. C'mon, what are ya' waiting for? Get it!! Written on December 11, 2007 Summary: Frieza Saga Great Box Set. I sold my old individual Frieza DVDs just so I could buy this box set. I'm a huge DBZ Fan. Wish they would make another DB Show. |
