 Written on September 12, 2007 Summary: Dance to the Drums I dance to this music. I am not young anymore. I do not normally dance in the living room. But when this music plays my children run away. I want to grab them and dance. So I dance alone. And I smile because I know that many men and many women have found a sense of joy in dancing to beats such as this for thousands of years. And when I dance, I feel as though I am tapping into that stream of joy and dancing with those unknown brothers and sisters. Oddly, I also meditate to this music. I play it softly as I sit in my somewhat twisted version of the lotus position. And I chant. The rhythms seem almost to capture the beat of my heart and my breath. And if I chant long enough I find an amazing gift and that gift is inner tranquility. To say I adore this music would be accurate. I can only thank its creators for their creative genius and for their understanding of the human heart. Thank you, John C. Conley, author of "Letters to My Friends: A No Guarantees Guide to Awakening." Written on May 8, 2007 Summary: Very calming and relaxing drumming This is a very nice CD when I put it in to play my whole house relaxed and clamed down and just listened very nice. The drumming is fantatsic, but if you do not like native american flutes not a CD for you in some parts of the CD the flutes are very loud. But I really enjoy this CD. Written on January 12, 2007 Summary: Drum Medicine I really enjoy both CD's Sacred Spirit Drums and Drum Medicine. I live in an area of very little resource for this type of purchase- I was very happy to find what I wanted online- also very glad to be able to listen before I purchased- would not have bought them without that. Service was the best- shipping was also very good.. I will consider this type of purchase again when needed. This is the best cd for playing along with drums or dancing up a storm. |
