Built-in HD Radio reception - it's free nationwide - with CD and MP3 playback and the convenience of a detachable faceplate: that's the Dual XHD6425 receiver. The XHD6425 allows playback of your favorite MP3 and WMA files recorded on CD-R and CD- RW discs. Its powerful on-board DSP processor decodes the compressed audio while maintaining near-CD sound quality. An internal SRAM buffer provides ESP (ElectronicSkip Protection) to virtually eliminate skipping and allows alphanumeric or direct track search - even while a song is currently playing! |

Written on September 20, 2008 Summary: Very pleased The product seems to work well and shipping was a day late, but that was ok. It may have been due to UPS.  Written on September 18, 2008 Summary: Time to upgrade to HD radio for $50. Dual XHD6425 4X50 Watt Bluetooth Ready Hd Radio and Mp3 Player [...] Very impressed with this unit. Mp3 and wma cd playback works great! Mini plug mp3 player connectivity is fantastic. USB connection is great for non stop music on long trips. The icing on the cake would be the HD radio on both AM and Fm. While parked at night, KNX AM from Los Angeles is picked up in HD(500 miles away in the San Francisco Bay Area). AM and FM HD radio is commercial and subscription free with some very cool programming. The Fm reception does have it's limits, 40 miles from the tranmission point is about the limit and worst than that in hilly terrain. One thing that Amazon never mentions is that this radio qualifies for a $[...] dollar rebate until the end of September. You can't get a better car radio for [...] (after rebate) I was just waiting for an affordable radio with usb connection and ended with much more! [...] Very pleased with this item. Being a car stereo junkie, I have to say that this head unit is not top end but the features and functionality is very superior. COns - volume knob could be a little bigger. When playing from the USB drive, the fastforward and rewind moves slow (2-4) second increments. other than that all thumbs up. Written on September 15, 2008 Summary: good radio i bought this dual for several reasons: $[...] rebate, usb port and digital radio. unfortunately, where i live there are no digital stations, but the fm tuner works fine. there is sufficient power to push my factory speakers. since i am old, i don't need 1,000 watts and subwoofers etc. the usb port plays mp3s from my thumb drive and charges my cell phone! if i get my $[...] rebate i will be quite happy with this unit. it has plenty of buttons to play with and the remote control helps some. one day i am going to set the clock! Written on September 12, 2008 Summary: Awesomeradio for the price. I needed a new radio for my Nissan Sentra,I purchased this radio just because I need the blue tooth feature and also my old factory radio stop playing cd's. The amount of input on this radio is insane! play cd, radio (HD awesome), hook up my mp3 player with a Auxiliary cable (3.99) ebay or radio shack, used my thumb drive 8 gigs to play my long non stop mixes and podcast. I purchased the blue tooth 2.0 compatible adapter and it works awesome very loud. the beauty is that I can play music from my phone to the radio via blue tooth or Aux cable. installation was easy if you know know how to match colors and read manuals. Also I only pay $50.00 for the radio after rebate! yeeeeehaaa! here is the rebate site for those of you interested. http://www.hdradio.com/rebate/rebate.php it pay for the blue tooth adapter. |
