 Written on February 14, 2008 Summary: Great anime This is the best anime on Adult Swim atm I feel. Samurai Champloo is good no doubt, but the storyline for GITS and GITS 2nd Gig are amazing. I own both box sets, all episodes and have watched both sets from start to finish. I am now re-watching the first episodes of GITS again. I cannot wait for more, buy this and you will not be dissapointed. Also GITS Solid State Society is just as good, but longer but the story rocks and it moves your through the movie. The scene with Togusa and his daughter will get your attention for sure. I need more GITS, hurry and make more episodes!!!! Written on February 8, 2008 Summary: What you would expect! This is what you would expect from the team that makes this awsome film and series! Visuals are as always, Top notch in the anime world, with thought provoking story lines, that make it so you can't wait to watch the next episode in the series. Written on January 21, 2008 Summary: Best quality anime This is one of the best quality animes that I have watched so far. It has a great plot in terms of breadth and intellectual stimulation when it comes to the laughing man.  Written on January 11, 2008 Summary: Great series, shame about the subs This is a great series, like some other reviewers this anime touched me on an emotional, intellectual and philosophical level. Unfortunately alot of the original character and depth of the series is lost in the english through the subtitles and dubbing. Anyone who really wants to experience it as the makers intended should seek out the Laughing Man Fansub version available on the internet. This was released by a Japanese native speaker who is also fluent in english. The fansubber captured far more than the official subs/dubs ever could, keeping the Japan specific euphamisms and metaphors intact explaining them with on screen text. LMF also overlays english over japanese text for signs and captions which goes a long way to helping continuity and understanding. The official dubs and subs gloss over so much in an attempt to simplify things, which for a series with such an intellectual leaning is sad.
