 Written on November 16, 2008 Summary: Carried in pocket for two years and still Going Strong I work in the schools on computers and this is my main tool. I have carried this in my pocket along with keys, change, etc. for two years and sure it's scuffed up on the outside but still works perfectly. These Kingston don't have all those cute little programs that try to install every time you want to use it like others do. I just need a simple device to carry data and these are the best. I keep an extra one around to sell the teachers when either they don't have one or their Walmart one has come apart. I don't make any profit but the teachers are starting to use usb flash drives more and more and are happy for the convenience. These Kingston drives are absolutely the best that I have seen and I have seen a bunch of them.  Written on November 14, 2008 Summary: beware MAC users! This thing does not work well with macs. It has caused many headaches. If freezes opened files, but you will not know this until you've done your work and you try to save it AHHHH!!! I have two macs and it has the same problem. I tried it to my buddy's brand new mac and it froze the whole thing. It's no problem when you are dragging files in and out manually, the problem is when you open files within it using applications. If for some reason you do get one (FREE) drag the files into your desktop, use them and them drag them back in manually. After I plug this thing in the USB port it takes about one to two minutes for the MAC to recognize it. The only reason I give this thing two stars is because it works better with my windows based HP. For MAC users I recommend the cruzer by SkanDisk it works perfect on macs.  Written on November 14, 2008 Summary: Good but Slow Read and write i used it on my philip dvd player so i can watch my programs and youtube videos on TV ,but its slow in copying thr comp and reading on my player - though if low in budget then its good deal***1/2 out of ***** Written on November 13, 2008 Summary: Kingston DTI Flashdrive Unit I purchased the Kingston DTI Flashdrive to speed up saving and moving files from one computer to another. It has worked exactly as I hoped it would and it has saved a lot of time and effort for me. It was fairly inexpensive and should last a very long time.  Written on November 12, 2008 Summary: Non-delivery, No explanation Ordered 6 each on line for Christmas Stocking Stuffer. Fortunately I used my Credit Card, not Debit. Got billed of course, but 2-3 weeks later I got a credit on CC. No notice or explanation from anyone. Really cool. |
