 Written on November 17, 2008 Summary: A good investment These bottles are well made, lightweight, sturdy, dependable and they can really take a beating. When you're done playing around with plastic bottles, treat yourself to a Kleen Kanteen. I have another stainless steel bottle from a well-known manufacturer, and I definitely rate the KK higher overall. As for the reviewers who are shocked to find the KK isn't insulated, well, it says that in the product description. Maybe it bears repeating: in order to make the bottle as compact and lightweight as possible, there is no insulation. Written on November 17, 2008 Summary: excellent This is an excellent product - I put water in it and all I get is water out of it - easy to clean and we now have many sizes and tops for the whole family to use instead of plastic bottles. Written on November 16, 2008 Summary: Klean Kanteen - very impressed I bought three and they are great. The O-ring seal on the cap eliminates any possibility of leaking. Written on November 16, 2008 Summary: Great! The bottles were high quality, thick stainless steel. The necks were wide enough to put in ice cubes. The sports caps are a little harder to drink from than the flat caps. I would by this product again.  Written on November 15, 2008 Summary: Total rip off!!!! I bought the 40 ounce version on Ebay with free shipping for $28.00. I was expecting MUCH more for the high price. The Kleen kanteen is NOT insulated at all. If you put something cold in it, expect it to get warm really fast. If you put hot stuff in it (like me), expect it to get cold fast. Expect to burn your fingers every time you pick it up. Expect to burn your inner lip on hot metal ever time you take a sip. The steel is VERY thin. I expect that if i dropped it, it would certainly dent. This product is honestly worth about 6-8 dollars. If I bought it from their website for $28 AND paid the high shipping cost, I'd be enraged when the product arrived. It's simply way too expensive. |
