 Written on August 6, 2005 Summary: MT was never meant to be Road and Track The first point that must be made is that Motor Trend was never meant to be Road and Track. R&T is the far superior magazine when it comes to coverage of exotic race cars. Motor Trend, on the other hand is a publication focused on standard vehicles, the kind most of us can afford. Motor Trend is a reputable magazine wiht decent ratings. While I don't always agree with their picks for Car of the Year and Truck of the Year (They picked a Japanese truck as the TotY!) They always reccommend solid cars, and are straight forward, plainly stating the cars purpose, rating not only its fun factor, but also its utility. The magazine doesn't blatantly bash every car that isn't a rear-drive V8, but still recognizes the virtue (or vice) of being fun to drive. Written on April 26, 2005 Summary: All-Car News in One Magazine The best magazine that brings you all of the next events releated to cars like new upcomping cars and models, Recommended for you is you want to be up-to-date with the new cars. Written on March 23, 2004 Summary: Motor Trend - Not Too Bad! I've had a subscription to Motor Trend for over 3 years and for the money $10-$12 a year it's not too bad. Sometimes the vehicles they show in the main article of the month are way out of normal blue-collar family budgets but they try to show a broad look at all vehicles and they do a great job of explaining everything in detail. I would give 5 stars if they would cut back on showing the real extravagant vehicles. Written on March 22, 2004 Summary: Still the best! Motor Trend magazine is one of the best of the best. I've been reading it since I was 10. This magazine is very informative, and does get good performance numbers. Articles are well written, comparisons are excellent. They always are the first to drive the lastest models. This magazine is a lot more entertaining and interesting to read than Car and Driver. They are 100% enthusiasts, bold and respected, this magazine is ahead of the pace. Motor Trend is the best car magazine! |
