This product works perfectly, especially if you're looking to use it and not advertise it. I keep it in my pocket every day and on the holster when I run at night. I like the fact that it keeps the last few days' information if you're into tracking your steps. I would recommend it. It could be a little smaller. That's the only thing holding it back from a five-star rating. It's like carrying an extra tiny cellphone every day and it takes a few days to get use to that. Written on September 30, 2008 Summary: Love it I bought this product because I had another one but broke the strap on it after having it for 3 years. It was worn out and my father wanted it back so I bought it for him and now him, my grandma, and I all use them and they are the best! They work amazingly and I like having it to know how far I walked! My dad likes it too because you can keep it in your pocket and it still works! It is great I would recommend it to ANYONE! Written on September 28, 2008 Summary: Great for walking I bought this pedometer because of it's high accuracy rating. It is dead-on accurate if you're walking, or running a consistent stride on flat ground, but unfortunately doesn't hold up for hill work or rough terrain. Where I live, there isn't much flat ground...we're either going up or down whether on the road or a trail. My stride length varies by as much as 6" or more apparently as I'll get quite different readings on an out & back route. So walkers, go ahead and buy this one. Runners...unless you're on a track or level ground, you'll probably need a wrist-mounted GPS distance-meter which will be my next purchase. Written on September 26, 2008 Summary: Submerged in water, and still works! This is a fantastic pedometer! Not only is it completely accurate, it's ridiculously durable as well. I accidentally left the pedometer in the pocket of a pair of shorts, and ran it through a complete wash cycle with a load of clothes. When I realized what I had done, I was heartbroken. I knew there was no way the pedometer could survive something like that and still work. I took the battery out of the pedometer, and laid it all out on a table to dry. I put the battery back in in the morning, and found that while the numbers came up, none of the buttons worked. I took it apart and again and left it to dry out some more. Just as I was about to get back on amazon to order a replacement pedometer, I figured I'd put the old washed one back together and try it one more time. And miracle of miracles, it worked! I've had my pedometer for about 6 months now. I wear it all day, every day. It took a bit of adjustment to figure out how to wear it without it falling off, as the clip is quite different from my old pedometer. But I don't mind the larger clip as this pedometer is so, so much more accurate than all the previous pedometers I've tried! This one keeps track of every step you take. It's easy to go in and reset it. I do that regularly as I'm dropping pounds, and have to change my weight set in the pedometer. I highly recommend buying this pedometer. It's durable and survives most anything (wash cycles, frequent drops, etc.), and it will consistently give you an accurate step count, which is the whole reason for a pedometer. I've had nothing but great experiences with my pedometer. In fact, I ended up purchasing one for my husband, two for my parents and two for my in-laws. And nobody has had any complaints. It's a great value for your money! |
