 Written on August 26, 2008 Summary: Better Than Nothing Not much water. Difficlult to navigate in my mouth. Water Pic is much better but Water Pic's quality has declined a lot over the years and they don't offer much repair on many units.  Written on August 21, 2008 Summary: Compact but powerful I am very happy with this unit. Last about a month on 2 AA batteries and compact enough to travel anywhere. Powerful and effective. My dentist thought he saw an improvement when I mentioned that I started using it. There are downsides. One, the small size means you have to refill a few times per session. Two, as it drains, the partial vacuum sometimes pulls the tank up into the main unit. Just a bit uncomfortable, but doesn't cause any problems in functioning so I still give it a "5".  Written on August 17, 2008 Summary: died after a couple of months it worked ok when it worked I guess, but even then the only way to know I was getting full power was to use a fresh set of batteries every day. Plus it died completely after a couple of months. Standard rechargeable batteries seem like a good idea but the charge and performance is so variable and unreliable that for anything more demanding than a remote control for your TV you are better off with a cord. Where that is impossible, such as a digital camera, go with a camera with a custom polymer battery. Since the product won't work without it they have to make it somewhat decent. For something like this irrigator at least if it doesn't work with a cord you will know that it is the device and not the batteries. Written on August 15, 2008 Summary: Excellent for what it is This is an excellent oral irrigator for travel. It is not as powerful or versatile as an OralBreeze or corded WaterPik, which would be the first choice to keep in your bathroom at home. But my gums suffer if I travel for very long without my irrigator, and this is a perfect choice for travel. Works just fine: pressure is adequate, tank size is sufficient, collapses to a compact size. Written on August 13, 2008 Summary: Simply the Best! I love the Panasonic Portable Oral Irrigator so much that I purchased this one as a backup in case something happens to the one I am curently using. I love how it leaves my mouth feeling fresh and clean, and I know I am doing something really, really good for my teeth and gums. I rate the oral irrigator as 5 stars! |
