Written on February 6, 2007 Summary: Solid Wall Mount This is a pretty solid wall mount. I got it to mount my Sharp LC-32D50U, which weighs in at about 45lbs or so. It holds it well and i have no fear of the tv coming off the wall. Just make sure that you find a solid floor to ceiling stud to screw into and you'll be fine. The articulating features of the wall mount are also great for versatility. It let's me reposition the tv in my apartment depending on where i'm sitting for optimal view of the picture on screen. Anyways, the mount is solid. It comes with some VESA adapters as well so you don't have top spendextra $ on those. Basically, You get what you pay for. It' sturdy and well built but nothing overly fancy. I rate it 4 stars because i feel the articulation features could be a tad smoother to operate. Take care and enjoy Written on January 25, 2007 Summary: Nice arm, but didn't work with Vizio TV... and very difficult to find the piece that would've made it fit. Other than that it would've been a great arm at a great price. Written on January 11, 2007 Summary: Very good product Easy to install, although it did not fit my TV from the start. I think however this is because my TV had non standard hooks.  Written on November 10, 2006 Summary: Check compatability The item was not difficult to install but the adaptor plate did not fit my tv so I called peerless customer service and they had one sent to me but that cost me another 40 bucks. I was disappointed it was NOT as universal as advertised. once I got the tv up it is ok, and getting the tv up to it is a 3 person job and it takes two to lift it up as it should for safety reasons but a 3rd person needs to hold the arm steady. I did find out there is another one that could have fit without having to spend the extra 40 bucks. I had to return the first tv to the store and round up help when I got a replacement. Now it looks like I may need to do that again as the replacement tv has problems also.This whole thing with the mount and tv has been very frustrating. Mike D. live and learn. P.S. when I moved and lost the adaptor plate, peerless co tried to sell me another one for more than the origional cost than the whole thing cost me. THE NERVE. I have sent complaints to several consumer protection agencies andvowewed to never again do business with them. for this tv I have instead had a machine shop makee up an adaptor plate for a few dollars. as for another tv in my new home I got a much better mount for a much better price and this did not need an adapter. anyone needing a wall mount should look elsewhere; There are much better ones at less cost and no adaptor is needed.  Written on November 9, 2006 Summary: Classy Wall Mount This is a great product. It was easy to mount and looks great. The only thing that could make it better is if it let the tv rest closer to the wall, but from what I have seen they all sit out from the wall about two inches. I have a 32" LCD mounted on it and it seems pretty heavy for the mount so I always try to keep it closer to the wall, but every time I come home my wife has it extended all the way and swung over 45 degrees. This hasn't caused any problems and I'm sure this is well within its design strength. Highly Reccommended. |
