I'm thinking the people who say they're not soft should maybe use Downy. I don't know. Someone mentioned made in China as being a bad thing. Mine said made in China and as I said, these are absolutely the best sheets I've had at such a cheap price for 400 tc cotton. They do look shiny but they are not slippery and they are not sateen.
