 Written on September 30, 2008 Summary: awesome product I have purchased the 18 piece pyrex set just today so why am I here to write a review...? I recieved the 14 piece set as a gift on my anniversary from my sis-in-law last year and since then they r being part of my daily life. I thank her for introducing me to such an awesome product. Some or the other bowl of the set I have in my refrigerator every day. In fact I stopped giving lunch to my husband in that plastic whatever microwave proof boxes and instead I started giving him lunch in pyrex 2-cup bowl. Its so convenient to use and the lids are so tight nothing gets spilled out. But now I feel short of containers with only 7 bowls and so I purchased the 18 piece set too. The list of the qualities of this set is endless and now with amazon coupon I got the 18 piece set in just $25...!!! I would highly recommend this product to one and all. Written on September 29, 2008 Summary: Excellent as usual There's not much to say about this product -- it's just a set of Pyrex bowls, after all. I've stored in them and baked with them, and they've performed flawlessly at both tasks. Naturally, they're also easy to clean. You can generally expect good quality when you order Pyrex, and this set doesn't disappoint; given the number of bowls in the set (9 -- the count of 18 includes the lids for some reason) and the broad range of sizes they come in, this set is a great value for its price. Written on September 26, 2008 Summary: Great Set of Containers I've been using these containers for about a week now. I decided to get them to avoid the toxins that seep into your food from plastic containers. These do have plastic lids, but I take the lid off before I microwave my food (and cover it with a paper towel to avoid splattering). They clean easy in the dishwasher. Very useful sizes too. Written on September 19, 2008 Summary: good ones... Got my order a week back after we decided to forego 'plastic' and 'go green'! First of all, pls note that this contains 9 containers and 9 lids! So making it an 18 piece item!! Pls dont think this has 18 containers! Coming to the quality, I have to admit they are excellent. They feel really sturdy and are very good for microwaving and storing in the fridge. I have seen reviews complaining about the lids being tight. My experience was that it is tough to put the lids on when the containers are empty but when there is stuff in it, then the extra weight helps in easing the putting on of the lid. I got it for $ 30 - A great buy at this price. Written on September 16, 2008 Summary: One of the Best offers that Amazon gives us: I have ordered several sets of this product. I have NEVER received a chipped or broken piece. I have ordered these for myself as well as my family. AND, I even orderd them as wedding presents for friends. The versatility of these bowls is unremarkable! Pyrex has their own guarantee, as well as Amazon. It would be silly not to order these bowls! They are GREAT! I have discarded ALL of my tupperware only to be replaced by these bowls! I LOVE THEM! |
