Written on November 6, 2007 Summary: How to live a "Real Simple" life if you have the money I was drawn to this magazine by the beautiful photography and promises of useful tips on everything from cleaning your kitchen to cheap gift ideas. And yes, there are a few interesting articles, tidbits, and suggestions, but I started to notice that a large portion of each issue is used for advertisements. And as many others have pointed out, there is a LOT of product placement within the articles/features themselves. And many of these recommended products are so expensive that I concluded that this magazine is targeted at wealthy housewives who can afford these things. However, what I like most about this magazine are the recipes. I've cooked some really yummy meals that were featured in the cooking section and recently they've added a "shopping list" section that puts all the ingredients needed for the recipes in one shopping list. I bought the magazine for several months but unfortunately, the recipes alone were not worth the hefty price (and mostly empty content), so I stopped buying the magazine. Defenitely NOT for the budget-minded!  Written on August 10, 2007 Summary: Empty I agree with the previous reviewer who noted that this magazine has beautiful design and photography elements, but empty articles. The magazine is far more focused on showcasing products to buy than on sharing meaningful commentary, which is the opposite of what I expected given the name and high reviews. Even the true "simple" living elements that are included - such as the recipes - are based on the purchase of a few specific items, (and the recipes are rarely - if ever - good). Jack of all trades, (they wish), master of none; a real disappointment. Put your money toward two or three other subscriptions to magazines with more depth, and you'll likely find that they are FAR more worth it.  Written on July 13, 2007 Summary: I love this magazine! It's like a hipper Martha Stewart, with resourceful tips and tricks for your home that won't break your wallet, great recipes, a little bit of fashion, beuty, health, home, and food in one perfect magazine. Written on May 12, 2007 Summary: LOVE IT I love this magazine!! It is so helpful and useful for all family homes. It gives you ideas to use stuff around the house to help you organize your home! The recipes are good and they give a shopping checklist to go to the store and tells you what to buy!
