 Written on January 11, 2007 Summary: IT WORKS GOOD, FINE, WORTHFUL I needed this lighter because not for smoking but I'm calling my self experimental man (or scientific for mad scientist or whatever) and I like to burn things a lot (you guys will not going to believe that burning things can be really fun if you can find the well object to burn..) Don't forget to buy Zippo Fuel and Flints too. My type of guy who just click and click to have fire just for fun needs flints well. This seems to be cheapest lighter that I can find and function was much more worth than its price (as far as I see now, you know I don't need WWII lighter to burn something) And just for tip for those who wants to play with this lighter If you want to close the top like FANCY AND COOL WAY (You know, don't close the top by hand but swinging like FLIPING) HOLD THE TOP AND SWING THE BODY, NOT HOLDING THE BODY AND SWING THE TOP It is because TOP IS VERY LIGHT (I think you know the why by now) ALSO, SAME WAY, IF YOU WANT TO OPEN BY COOL WAY, HOLD TOP AND SWING THE BODY. And This CAN be important, so listen. SITUATION 1 : OH, I THINK UN-SCREW THIS SCREW AT BOTTOM OF BODY AND POUR MY FUEL IS RIGHT WAY! ANSWER : NO, YOU THAT IS WHERE YOU PUT LITTLE VERY TINY FLINT, DON'T POUR THE FUEL OR YOU WILL MESS YOUR HELL OF DAY (If you un-screw the screw and just hit the top several times, flint will come out, just remember, I told you IT IS VERY TINY LIKE LITTLE ANT, don't think it is size of finger or something, I suggest you guys to disect the lighter, you will figure out how Zippo lighter works) SITUATION 2 : WHERE THE HELL IS PLACE TO POUR FUEL? I ONLY SEE THE COTTON AT BOTTOM. OH, I THINK I HAVE TO POUR FUEL AT TOP! (cotton is below the sponge that said 'PILL TO FILL' thing. Just in case you never knew) ANSWER : THAT WOULD BE THE QUICKEST WAY TO MESS YOUR DAY, AND I WORRY THAT YOU MIGHT BE IN PRISON FOR ARSON. I THINK YOU WOULD BE SURPRISE (whether or not, I surprised so...) YOU POUR YOUR FUEL INTO THAT COTTON AND LET IT GET WET How do you know you well fed lighter the fuel? There will be one or two drop of fuel at top (were fire suppose to come out) if you well fed (I BELIEVE YOU FED LIGHTER WITH UP-SIDE-DOWN POSITION OR IF YOU DID THAT WAY THEN I BELIEVE GRAVITY IS TOWARD SKY OR SOMETHING, HOPEFULLY) SITUATION 3 : OH MY GOD, MY LIGHTER WICK IS RUNNED OUT, I MUST PUT IT IN THE TRASH NOW ANSWER : NO ZIPPO CAN USE FOR LIFE TIME (ACTUALLY ZIPPO GUARANTEES YOU THE LIGHT FOR LIFE TIME), IF YOU THINK WICK HAS BEEN RUN OUT (FUEL CHECK DONE, FLINT WORK, AND NOT FIRE HAS TO BE WICK), THEN JUST USE PINCETTE AND PULL OUT THE WICK FOR SUITABLE AND SENSIBLE AMOUT AND CUT OUT THE OLD WICK I'm sure you can use it for life time without buying new wick, but Zippo is selling 'Zippo wick' too. Changing wick of Zippo lighter is not that hard too. Just un-screw the screw, remove 'PILL TO FILL' sponge, remove fuel cottons (It is not just bunch of cottons, it is just crushed in, cottons are like 5 pieces, and I suggest you to remember the sequence of cottons, you know, it is not new lighter at that time of moment, and you don't want to mess your fuel cotton look little WHATEVER shape) and you will see the wick that is tangled at that the flint placement pipe (It doesn't really matter how it looks, it is ok to put the wick in any shape you want, but it will be matter the shape of wick at where the fire comes out, you know, you don't want to mass up the wick where fire comes out to be like shape of cobra or horse dung) Just use your sensitive brain and common sense to place the wick and re-crush in the cottons and re-put the 'PILL TO FILL' sponge back, and re-screw the flint spring thing and it is good to go again I THINK I SOLVED ALL QUESTIONS now, JUST REMEMBER, LIFE TIME GUARANTEE AND YOU JUST CALL THEM AND QUEST THEM TO FIX, THEY WILL DO IT FOR FREE (OF COURSE YOU NEED TO BUY LITTLE POSTAGE-STAMP IN ORDER TO SEND, OR JUST WALK TO CLOSE ZIPPO SHOP, AND THEY WILL NOT CHARGE YOU A CENT FOR IT AND THEY WILL POST BACK TO YOU, OF COURSE FOR FREE) |
