Written on December 12, 2007 Summary: Inspiring I have purchased this book for several friends...it is beautifully written and inspiring. It helps you find hope when you truly need it. Written on November 22, 2007 Summary: Hope-> Understanding -> Help This book is great. It offers insight and HOPE. I am not living with cancer yet I have learned so much from this little book. What it has to offer is not little - big in understanding, big in learning, BIG in HOPE. Written on September 9, 2007 Summary: Excellent I can't recommend this book enough. A friend gave me a copy a few months ago and I couldn't put it down until I'd finished the last page. Cancer patients need hope, and this is it. I honestly can't think of a book that touched me more in terms of encouragement. I always like to say that cancer is 1/2 mental. Of course the laboratory tests may prove different, but a mind frame that has no hope it oftentimes the one that is overcome the soonest. If you know someone that is battling cancer, buy them this book. Please. Written on May 17, 2007 Summary: Vickie and her book--a gift from God Vickie and her book are a gift from God. I had known Vickie Girard since 1986 when I met her at work. She was a true inspiration to all who knew her and loved her. She battled her disease with strength and humility and then went on to share her struggles with wit and humor, along with tears. For those who don't know, Vickie lost her battle on February 10, 2007 after almost 18 years. She is and was a true HERO. You will not be disappointed with your purchase of her book.
